Maybe most famous for its great film industry, Hollywood also boasts a large number of other popular destinations, including shopping malls, restaurants, museums, theaters, bars, and nightclubs. For many of our clients, a night of being chauffeured by our exclusive party bus transportation from club to club is a popular choice. For others, bringing a loved one in one of our stretch limos for fine dining at Miceli’s might be what you searching for.
Whatever destination in Southern California, you can safely trust our top-rated offers for luxurious transportation. For example, if you are flying into LAX, make sure to check out our award-winning LAX airport transfer for a premier ride from or to the airport. Without further due, let’s take a look at some of the hotspots in the Hollywood area!
1. Hollywood Sign
The Hollywood Sign, along with our Malibu wine tour options, are among the most visited destinations for our company. So many of our clients, especially tourists or visitors utilizing our LA limo service, are anxious to get this iconic sign on their bucket lists. While the original 1923 sign was lit and also read “Hollywoodland”, the last four letters are now removed. The letters are made of sheet metal and are fifty feet tall. While the sign itself is difficult to reach, sitting on top of Mount Lee in the backwoods of Griffith Park, there are various great locations for photographing it. Many prefer the top of Beachwood Dr., which is fairly close, while other places include the 4th level of Hollywood & Highland, as well as 3202 Canyon Lake Drive.
2. Hollywood Bowl
Another tremendously popular destination here is the Hollywood Bowl, the original 1920s Hollywood amphitheater. Cradled in the Hollywood Hills, it is home to the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and also holds hundreds of musical venues and performances each year. Our Los Angeles limousine services have also transported a huge number of celebrities and performers to the Bowl. Among those who have performed here are Frank Sinatra, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, Louis Armstrong, Elton John, Pavarotti, and many, many more. This famous landmark has - just like the aforementioned sign - also been depicted in numerous Hollywood movies. Some films featuring the amphitheater include Yes Man with Jim Carrey, the animated Shrek 2, Hollywood or Bust featuring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, and numerous other TV series and movies.
3. Walk of Fame
Among the hundreds of tourists and visitors, we serve each year, the Walk of Fame is a hugely popular destination. With more than ten million visitors per year, these 2,500 sidewalk-embedded stars are also among the most visited tourist attractions in all of Southern California. Established as early as 1958, the stars have become a powerful symbol of not only Hollywood but the L.A. entertainment industry as a whole. Replicas of these have also become popular throughout the world, with for example the Faroese village of Klaksvík adopting a similar road as recently as last year. The stars are located on Hollywood Boulevard between Gower Street and La Brea Avenue, as well as on Vine Street between Yucca Avenue and Sunset Boulevard. This mile-long tourist attraction is located next to other popular destinations for our LA limo service, including the TCL Chinese Theatre, which is a great place to start when heading out to explore the Walk of Fame.
4. Hollywood & Highland
For shopping in Los Angeles, no place may be as popular as Hollywood & Highland for our clientele. Hollywood and Highland is a multistory mall featuring plenty of restaurants, clothing- and retail stores such as American Eagle, GAP, Louis Vuitton, and many more. Besides more than seventy shops, nightclubs, bars, and restaurants, this complex is also home to a movie theater, a bowling alley, the Loews Hollywood Hotel, the Chinese Theatre, as well as the Dolby Theatre, home of the Academy Awards ceremony (the Oscars). Besides all the stars and celebrities we chauffeur to the Dolby Theatre, previously known as the Kodak Theatre, many use our limousine- or party bus transportation to take part in the half-hourly tours held here daily.
5. Hollywood Forever Cemetery
Finally, let’s face it: most cities don’t have cemeteries among their most popular attractions, but then again, Hollywood isn’t like “most cities”! Last on our list is the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, which was originally known as the Hollywood Memorial Cemetery. It is among the oldest cemeteries in Southern California, established on more than a hundred acres of land already in 1899. This celebrity-filled cemetery offers great views of the Hollywood Sign and the Griffith Observatory, and the cemetery itself is home to lush, green gardens, and a lake, as well as Roman-, Greek-, and Egyptian temples and urns. Being the cemetery with the densest concentration of celebrities, many tourists and visitors in LA end up renting a Los Angeles limousine to check out this attraction. Among the long list of graves are those of Douglas Fairbanks, Tyrone Power, Mel Blanc, Nelson Eddy, Cecil B. DeMille, and many, many more. Because of its historic value, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.We are incredibly proud of having served Hollywood daily for more than fifteen years. For other destinations not making our list, we would like to add the Hollywood Wax Museum, Madame Tussauds Hollywood, El Capitan Theatre, Hollywood Museum, Pantages Theatre, Fonda Theatre, and the Hollywood Palladium. For whatever destination in the greater LA area you can rest assured when traveling with us. For many tourists, visitors, and others flying into the city, we offer our award-winning LAX airport transfer, and we have party buses to accommodate your group no matter how many you are.
